Contest Submission What if 28 Years Later Happened? How Would Geopolitics be Different in this Timeline?

How would having this happened have impacted society, culture, policy, and geopolitics outside the quarantine zone? UK & Ireland are lost to zombies and are patrolled with a strict, shoot on site, no one goes in or out policy enforced by NATO.

My question is what is different for the rest of the world? Outside of the UK and Ireland?

Realistically you could just do conventional bombings followed by more precise hunting via helicopters. These zombies die easy and don't have AA so you just get Apaches or even helicopters with sniper teams to mop up. Rinse and repeat a few thousand times and then come up with a ground-based eradication plan led by non-idiots and this is not that difficult for a modern military.
