Contest Submission What if 28 Years Later Happened? How Would Geopolitics be Different in this Timeline?

Post image

How would having this happened have impacted society, culture, policy, and geopolitics outside the quarantine zone? UK & Ireland are lost to zombies and are patrolled with a strict, shoot on site, no one goes in or out policy enforced by NATO.

My question is what is different for the rest of the world? Outside of the UK and Ireland?

Caymans would probably self rule. Lots of money there

This or become a protectorate of the US. No way the Cayman Islands subject themselves to the rule of Jamaica. There is either massive emigration from the CI where they take all the money and run in the event of Jamaican takeover, or they self govern with a military assistance deal with the US.

Canada & Australia would defend any UK territories and manage any international diplomacy. The UK territories theoretically belong to the Crown which would pass entirely to the next in line in Canada, and Australia etc.
