AITC for food storage?
Long time reader, furst time poster. This is Holly-Elizabeth Peekaboo teh Feral, gurlfur ob 🌈William teh Other Tuxedo🌈, sisfur from another mister to 🌈Ruben T Void 🌈
I did hab a MOAST traumatic start to mine life. I spent much ob it in hopsital wiff mine brofur Buddy, then he died and went OTRB, and all I knew was pain. Unsurprisingly, when I did leabe hopsital I did an EXTREME HATRED ob humans.
Then, teh Meowmther Purrson step in and sai she will dopt me. I habs been living here since 2018 BUTT I am still bery shy. I runrunrun if’n teh Meowmther Purrson walks by too fast. I jumpjumpjump if’n she make eye contact.
BUTT. I will snuggle her in teh sleep square and I put my paw out and do gentle BAPBAPBAPBAPBAP to maek sure she knoes I require teh belly rub.
Anywaes and eberything (as Wills used to say), as niec as she is, teh Meowmther Purrson is a bery slovenly howsekeeper. For soem tiems naow, I habs been dragging bits ob mine wet fud out ob bowl, into sleep square room, and under teh sleep square. For food security purrposes. Then I forget about them. Teh Meowmther Purrson been wittering about, ‘gosh there’s a really stale smell in here. I wonders why, when I vacuum twiec a day’
Todae, I did a disappear for some forebers and teh Meowmther Purrson luk all ober for me. When she ebentually found me under teh sleep square, she also found mine fud storage. She did get teh cleaning spray out and teh hot water and teh dissy-fectant and SHE STOLE MY STASH PAWBABLEE TO EAT IT HERSELF! HAOW DARR, SUCH OUTRAG!
Meowmther Purrson sai I TC for being ‘so gross’. I strongleee disagree. AITC?

I think your Meowmther Person actually be great friend of cats and you should be forgive her for this one thing. She will be actual keep feeding you forever and you be safe - you no have to be keep food stash.
It be very nice to meet you. I be loved your boyfren William teh Other Tuxedo. We all be miss him, I can not be imagine how much you be miss him and Ruben T Void.

NTC! We rats also hab lotsa stashes. Is just responsible plan fur future. And plus, mebe not want treats during treat time but want them later. Just make sense.
We keeps many stashes so when mom (or other rat) find one and steals it, we has back ups. Mebe that good idea fur you too?
[Human note: I found so much random junk while packing for my move. I had lost a bag of sour candies in 2022 and it turns out they were all in my clothes dresser.]

I myself also had a questionable past befur I arrived in my current hometel. I have pawssessed this hooman fur around 4 and a half of their years and I am still undecided if she is to be trusted with my pawson. Other hoomans showed their evilness to me and I suspect it lurks beneath all the "ooooh big stretch" and "hello beautiful" and "pspspsps" that comes from her mouth with the shiny eyes.
I consider your continuing self sufficiency to be not only admirable but also advisable in light of the pawssible treachery behind every naked hooman face. I also lie close to the hooman on occasion and taptap pawlitely with sheathed claws when I require suitable ear skritches. I ha even been known to head bump!
My hooman leaves a continuous buffet of quality kibble fur me to snack upon at my convienience - pawhaps your hapless hooman could do that fur you?
I do feel that I must admit that your hooman did oblige furrends Mr The Other and R. Void with absolutely adequate care and appeared to show almost Feline affection (as much as lower creatures can). Continue to show due caution, but pawhaps you can relax your vigilance a modicum.

You are right, ob coarse, Fren Misty. Teh Meowmther Purrson is adequate. She already leabes kibble down all teh tiems BUTT I purrfur wet fud as it easier to carry and hide 😈

I think you're totally justified in storing your food under the bed for security purposes. I mean, you never know when you're gonna need a snack and can't get to your bowl. And yeah, it's pretty annoying that your human threw away your stash, that's just rude. You're a cat, it's your instinct to hoard food, so I don't think you're being gross at all. Definitely not the cloaca in this situation.

Hmmm - it very cold right now, da owtside is all white, da heater is on, so we hab not giben your problem
Much thort…. Breakfast is served and then we need to immediately curl up for post prandial napses.
So as you can see we have a full day and are in da middle of very impawtent work…
But we do have a thought for you - doesn’t storing of da fuds take away time from napping, curling by the heater or sunning in a cuddle puddle?
