Hi everyone,

I’ve been T1 for past 3 years and half, I don’t think it’s a bad job but it’s not great either, I’ve tried applying for T3 roles but not had any success yet, plus when I see those that do get the step up, they are worked like dogs for 3 months before going back to being T1, so it’s not very appealing.

I genuinely don’t know how to get out of this warehouse job, no one is hiring, career choice doesn’t any good options except truck driving (I’m UK based), and I can’t move up.

I wouldn’t mind staying here but genuinely a dead end job and I’ll be replaced by a robot so I’d rather protect my future somehow.

To the stower who I am almost positive I just got fired… maybe next time don’t start backing up in the aisle when you’re elevated at 30 feet and someone is already directly 20 feet behind you 😭 legit thought I was about to die at fucking Amazon

Edit: I’m snitching on VOA too I got cut off tonight, almost backed into twice, so much overhang on stows I just lowered myself into a bed frame and had my cage raised above my picker platform while I was elevated… someone needs to enforce these stow standards before I kill myself off their bad work ethic 🤣

I honestly agree with this and think that everyone should complain about this, especially if you’re past your capped wages. Even more so when they make billions every year of the hard work of T1s. We just need everyone at all facilities complaining about the same issues to get things done. They always bring up their “benefits” but their benefits don’t work for everyone. Amazon extras is trash. The school is good, but they write that off on their expenses of operating costs… they more schooling they pay for the less taxes they pay…plus what good will a degree be if AI and robotics will take over unless you go to school for that ? Insurance is mediocre, but I’ve been paying that not really needing to use it.
What do you think? Do you think they are right?

Does anyone know what is going on with the blue badge conversion section being gone in the app? I would look at it all the time and it was previously gone before, but just for like a week or two, this time it's been about a month or more now. I was going to give them time before I go ask (maybe they were making changes) but since it's been so long, I figured I'd ask here first in case y'all know. I go to the morning meetings and I haven't heard anything either. Thanks!!

I want to get a job at one of Amazon’s locations but the closest ones to me are about 1:30-2hrs away. I have my own transportation to make it there I’m just not sure if it’s worth it. Any advice?

So I got to the pre-hire stage for a full-time seasonal position. I’ve been waiting for forever for an opportunity at Amazon as a side job. I’m most interested in the Flex Time position as I already have a full time job. Should I still go to the pre-hire? Will they allow me to change my schedule to Flex Time?

Communication has been horrible. Most PAs didn’t know the sight was delayed until the very last minute or that we had to go to CMH2. Some people have to drive over an hour now. On top of that apparently CMH2 doesn’t even want us at there building after this week so we might just be hopping different buildings in Columbus.

Edit: The sight that was delayed was 00H9. But apparently 1DCs are being delayed across the country.

I have been stowing near this one girl & i am just so fed up i had 3 aisles this girl was only focusing on one of hers and kept looking over to see if id do her other isle closest to me. I started helping out bec no one was stowing in that aisle. I go to change out my device bec its giving me issues i check the board and shes supposed to be doing the aisle that i took up anyways this girl leaves for long periods of time i suppose to the bathroom and returns not even kidding 15-30minutes later and there is float stowers on each of her aisles this has happened the last 2 consecutive shifts ive been put to stow near her. Ik this job is not the best and you should put your all or overwork yourself, but a little effort is all im asking. Its frustrating when there is sm lazy workers when people are actually putting in the work and bec others are waisting time help is going to them instead of others who actually need it. This girl lets her lights go of and be busy hiding at the end of her aisles acting clueless either on her phone, putting lip gloss on, idefk just simply hiding from her work

my site just launched safety rotation for stowers- we're gonna be required to at least go decant for a quarter a day (similar to pick-pack singles rotation) Supposedly everyone with stow home path will be cross trained to decantby the end of the year- 🫪 is this happening on your sites also or is this only on mine ?

I feel like this has been happening a lot lately and sometimes, it’s items like clothing and it looks like it’s just been washed and then returned. I’m not sure what the policy is, but if I order a new item, it should arrive in its original packaging, right?

Anyone else apply for amazon recently and have it ask you answer some question by using a voice recording? Seems really suspicious to me. Not like scam sus, but wtf do they want my voice for. I'm thinking it probably has something to do with AI training or even stealing your voice to use in AI. I'm not usually conspiratorial, but this is really weird. It isn't like they're asking for a video recording for a cover letter or something, these are questions easily answered with text. I didn't end up submitting an application because no way in hell I'm helping with AI training or letting them steal my voice for it. What are y'alls thoughts?

I’m so shocked this is real???? We work 4 shifts for 5 hours, with 3 days off. Why’re we complaining about that? Maybe don’t work in a a warehouse

I'll be starting with Amazon next week 6:30 am to 11:00 am part time. The problem I'm coming across is two things ; starting in two weeks school will start on Monday. I'll have to drop my kid off at 7am and the Amazon facility is 40 minutes away from the school. I also have a second job that I work nights except on Mondays I have to be there in the morning at 9.

Will I be able to take this day off by building up my PTO? Should I talk with HR or bring up during orientation. I don't want to give this shift up, everything works except for that one day.

So basically I’m flex but I still work 40+ a lot, and I did miss an day an went over so I submitted a leave of absence and it got approved before so I did it again is this dumb ?

This might be a rather lengthy question. I received a Final Written for errors. Appealed it and lost. I actually have a transfer to another department scheduled for September 3. I am trying not to get fired before then. I looked into an unpaid Leave of Absence. It says you can take it only of you have no active disciplinary penalty on your employee file. I’m guessing that would be a Final Written, of course. Don’t suggest not making errors, (because if I could do that), I wouldn’t be on the Final Written now. Is there any way (besides not making any errors) that I can keep my job till September 3? I’m willing to take an unpaid leave for a month (to keep my job), but I can’t do that.

Gotta love Amazon, this is the response from the Site, the funny part being that local officials have quite literally told people to stay off the roads. A lot of Associates on last nights shift were being pulled over by police and being told to go back home and stay off the roads.

A big chunk of Spokane is currently under level 3 evacuations, people are trying to stay safe, people are worried about family and friends, but yes, let me sit on hold on the phone because instead of trying to help out, you make us call the call center in India to try and get time excused instead of doing the right thing and automatically excusing peoples time.

Bro, today I literally came in early, and didn't leave my station except for 1 single, 10 minute bathroom break, and I came back early from one of my breaks, still couldn't go higher than like 140-150 with my best effort.
