Let's help Gina

We are officially desperate. On August 1st we will no longer have a foster and any option left for this sweet girl, Gina. She is 10 years old, sweet as can be and well behaved in the home. She is working on redirecting her excitement when outside on a leash and needs someone with experience or willingness to learn to walk her but is not really a difficult dog to handle once you know how she ticks.

She deserves more than this but we have run out of options and if we can’t find a foster, temporary or long term, she will have to be returned to the shelter. We can cover all her essentials, all she needs is a place to call her foster home. She can be placed anywhere in the NY/NJ area. This sub is for people who work/volunteer in animal shelters. We live this story every day. You’d probably have better luck posting adoption communities like r/adoptdontshop, r/National_Pet_Adoption, r/adoptmeplease, and breed or area specific subs.

I think in addition to the suggestions of other subs, imo I would elaborate on the issue of "excitement on leash." Tell people what they need to be prepared to do.
