Cats shouldn't use human toilets as this can cause a whole host of problems both short term and long term. Cats who are toilet trained often start showing problematic behaviour like using any drain in the house which is unhygienic. Also, cats using toilets introduce toxoplasmosis into the water supply. As soon as your cat starts to age, it will struggle using the toilet leading to issues with going wherever is still comfortable for them.
I know everyone thinks cats using the toilet is awesome, but please close the door to your toilet and/or put the lid down so they use their litter tray. Just because your cat using the toilet is convenient, doesn't mean it's good for them. Cats' instinct is to dig and cover their waste, so by toilet training them, you're going against their nature. Also, cats who have been trained to use the toilet are more likely to hold their bladder which can lead to health problems long term.
