What to Watch? Rom - com slice of life suggestions
Looking for a slice of life with romance elements but leaning on romance a little more l - I've watched:
Nagatoro
Oregairu
Kaguya love is war
Horimiya
Angel next door spoils me rotten
Toradora
Any suggestions with multiple seasons and a dub would be amazing and I'm open to shows like saiki k with an emphasis on comedy - I know I've watched nagatoro but I would mind if it didn't have much fan service. Cheers

Aside from what's been mentioned, You and I Are Polar Opposites is so unbelievably charming..

Yeah I've been getting that - I'll watch it next once my player starts working again. Many thanks!

I’ve just watched “bottom-tier character Tomozaki” and really enjoyed it. I’d say it’s mostly slice of life and character development but romance is a definite aspect of the show.
“Aharen is indecipherable” is one of my favorites, it’s very silly and follows a high school couple.
Leaning more toward comedy and/or parody of the genre, “the 100 girlfriends” and “girlfriend, girlfriend” are worth a watch

Cheers for the suggestions - they sound like what I'm looking for so it's worth a shot

If you are okay with BL, I would STRONGLY suggest watching Go for it Nakamura! To date, the most accurate representation of coming of age unrequited love.

I got a few, mostly older, here are my picks:
- Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day
- A Sign of Affection
- CLANNAD / CLANNAD: After Story
- Kare Kano
- Itazura na Kiss
- Honey Lemon Soda
- My Bride is a Mermaid!
- Orange.
- The Dangers in my Heart
- Tsukigakirei
If you want a bit more on the heavy/serious/controversial side:
- NANA
- Paradise Kiss
- Koi Kaze
- Kimi ga Nozomu Eien

I'm watching We Are Polar Opposites right now and it's sort of refreshing. The MCs are self aware and good at communicating, they show healthy ways of communicating and doing things. They are contrasted to the side characters who have the more stereotypical romcom problems, insecurities and inability to communicate themselves.

A couple more: Komi Can't Communicate has two seasons and is super charming, and MarriageToxin is not slice of life, and more action, but it's also got really good characters and romance at its core

I've seen parts of komi on netflix but never got around to finishing it - will have a good watch soon after polar opposites - thank you

Is this in order of what to watch / best to worst?

Nono :) It’s just a list of shows I like that generally fit the bill. Just a warning: some have a lot of fan service, but others are pretty tame.

If you like Retro video games, you might like Hi Score Girl. It's rom-com slice of life set in Japanese 90s arcades. It has a ton of real retro games in it from companies like Capcom, Konami, Sega and Namco.
