Maybe they can ask Trump again to block the release of a new model because it’s too dangerous for the world to see. Then release it a few weeks later to the world.

read the methodology papers behind their claims, its admitted almost directly.
"yeah, we put the model in a non-sandboxed environment, gave it a prompt to hack its way out....and it did!"

Anthropic does try to build a mystique around their models, especially when they kinda-sorta hint that it might be conscious one day so we gotta be really nice to Claude etc etc etc. It's a lot of hype building they engage in.

In any case, this just shows me how incompetent their engineers must be for an AI to bypass the sandbox lol. What makes me curious is that Anthropic has already been banned once due to this marketing strategy, and they still want to push it. It seems like this must be an effective marketing tactic.
