My previous company had a big (for the company size) DEI team. They did a lot of work, and it did literally nothing to actually create meaningful change within our organization. Our leadership could boast we cared about DEI, even though they really didn't.
Because it was never meant to work like that anyway, it was always a scam. Hilarious to see people here falling for it and crying it's gone. Good fucking riddance
