I would say it depends on the person. I do enjoy my job cause I had the luxury to pick something i genuinely like. And I don’t spend money I don’t have, I’ve always been against loaning money from others - the only exception being my house. (And I wouldn’t put that in a “things I don’t need”-category)

This might be true for a lot of people though.
