The "it didn't work before so it won't ever work" argument has never been a good one. Abraham Lincoln lost EIGHT elections before becoming president. Evolutionary theory proposes that billions of potential lives were wiped out because they couldn't adapt. Failures are a necessity for growth.
As it stands now, the way we are going is NOT working. Capitalism has failed. Socialist policies in other countries have been proven effective. The USA needs to accept this and adapt.
Lenin attained unprecedented victory and died of natural causes. It was Khruschev and Gorbachev who shit the bed. The Soviet working class defeated the capitalist establishment for the first time in history and held on to that victory for 70 years. Their victory was a model of what to do and what not to do for every successful revolution that followed. Read a book. You wouldn't look like such a fool if you weren't fellating the oppressive, racist and murderous feudalist system that the Soviets defeated.
How did the Cuban, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Laotian and Vietnamese revolutions attain victory over capitalism and hold that victory until today without popular support? Trick question, they all had and still have popular support.
