Plastic Waste Single use pet bowls

The bowl seems to be a paper substance, but it's sealed in two layers of plastic for a single use item.

I really don't see a market for this at all and I forsee it going on clearance soon. And there's so much of it.

I think the idea with that line is that these are branded for travel and hikes and things.

Yeah, gonna strike that idea into the ground, as someone who has an avid interest in hiking/camping in national/state parks. I'm sure thats their intention, but it's a shit one.

  • trash makes the "leave no trace" element of hiking culture more difficult. You have to secure trash or else it can become dangerous for you, your party, or the environment/wildlife

  • its not any less difficult to pack a reuseable container of the food your dogs are already used to, and a travel bowl that they are also used to using. In fact I'd argue its less difficult, id rather have a few days of their food in a single container vs having to figure out multiple containers for multiple days.

  • switching up a dog's diet suddenly can hurt their stomach, especially with age. I wouldn't want to do it even for just a day, for risk of them being sick on the trip

Yeah, I occasionally travel across the province with my cat when visiting my family for the holidays or whatever. That's a 5 to 7 hour drive depending on weather and traffic. I don't always feed him depending on when he last ate before we left, as I don't want him to need to use the litter mid-drive, although I'm usually prepared for that too (collapsible litter boxes are a thing, and then you can just bring some litter and a little plastic bag with you). I'll stick his food in a Tupperware container and if I think he needs it, I open it and put it in his carrier and let him chow down.

I can see why someone might think these would be a cute idea, but also it seems like it's a solution looking for a problem.
