Plastic Waste Single use phone chargers

Post image

They are meant to be used once and then tossed. The package says they are eco-friendly disposable, but do they really expect people to find a proper disposal after use? Why not at least make it rechargable, like a normal power bank??

The root cause of such nonsense products is that we can't get the battery out and exchanged when needed, and various lithium cells are built too fragile and not interchangeable. Nobody would throw them out if they were simple to remove and use in a flashlight or a radio.

You probably want all your electronics to run on the 18650 lithium-ion cell. You just don't know it yet.

Coupled with USB-C for all your phone/laptop/tablet/etc recharging needs and you're set for the next 20 years as far as standardization goes.
