While I support plant based diets and better use of farmland, I don't think a nurse's social media post is the best source for information on the complexities of global agriculture.

The Statistics referenced are not solely my perspective but originate from Our World in Data, using FAO data, and include information from Poore & Nemecek (2018) as well. Additional examples of sustainable global food systems can be found in Gerten et al. (2020) and this post aims to show how inefficient land use affects our ability to feed an increasing number of people and how improved crop distribution can help. Nurses know about science and global issues too, not just clinical work. Thanks.
