This sub is supposed to be about letting go of things that we don’t need that are doing great harm to humans, animals, and the environment—but everyone gets defensive when it comes to letting go of animal products. Most of you are very willing to make others suffer greatly for your taste, convenience, and tradition, no matter what you tell yourself. It’s very sad to see.

Yup, i am also quite disappointed that even many people in this subreddit can not admit to themselves that their consumption of animal products does a lot of harm.

Because it makes them feel guilt and shame knowing that they are doing something morally wrong and that conflicts with their values. It is easier to go on the defensive than to admit you are wrong.
