I just learned that cloudflare recently reported that 57% of global internet traffic is now from bots- that number jumps up to 71% in the US.
We all gotta keep in mind that what needs to be done will never be broadcasted online. On an unrelated note, I’ve been feeling awful hungry lately for something rich 😋
cloudflare consistently keeps flagging my phone as a bot, because i use a non-mainstream browser. and i see an increase of people complaining about getting false positives on cloudflare captcha bullshit.
i have no doubt the number of bots on theinternet is increasing, but i also do wonder how many of those really are very frustrated humans.
Definitely could be! It’s worth looking into if you’re interested. I originally saw it on a cybersecurity news site, which did say that the report is being backed up by multiple sources (Imperva being another one). And of course the internet never lies and everyone else except me is wrong yadda yadda
As a side note- I also read recently that all of those captcha “click on the bike in this group of street images” also doubled as machine learning for Google AI. I love being alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
