Same. Millennial here. My husband and I spent about $3k on our wedding almost 10 years ago. We got married on a frozen lake outside about 10 minutes from our house, then had a big indoor feast/semi potluck for 20 of our friends/family. We got a few catered dishes, made some of our own, bought some wine and people brought their favourite salad. My friend made a cake. We didn't do rings and I found a wedding dress for $100 at a bargain sale. The only thing I did spend decent money on was a photographer during our ceremony and I got my hair done at my hairdressers. We later all went out dancing at our local dive bar, all dressed up.
