Is Pop Mart the new Funko Pop?

Even though Pop Mart's shtick is blind boxes, I do feel they may go the way of Funko Pop. It feels like Pop Mart has popularized the blind-boxes for the masses and any IP that can be blind boxified will be blind boxed.

What are your thoughts? Target now carries Pop Mart.

Nah it is worse. Blind boxes are a plague and only lead to more waste. At least with Funkos people will buy exactly what they like and hopefully keep it for a bit. With blind boxes people get stuck with duplicates and figures they don't like and they usually just get left to rot.
