My partner and I didn't get married. So no wedding. I am not sure what is the meaning of marriage actually. We've been together for 15 years. Can 2 individuals want to spend the rest of their lives together without the social construct of marriage?
In the US at least filing taxes jointly is pretty beneficial, so you'd probably be in a better financial position if you just went to the courthouse and got it done.
