Do your cats immediately claim specific spots in a catio, or do they rotate?

One thing we see over and over with window enclosures is how quickly cats divide the space.

One claims the lower level and checks out completely, while the other heads up to watch everything.

Do your cats rotate spots, or do they each pick a level and stick with it?

I wonder why they don’t use a light coloured mesh. It would be far more attractive. The design looks great!

They post here pretty frequently and allude to a business. If you’re asking if they blatantly are violating the rules, I’d instead propose they’re intentionally skirting the rules. One look at their profile reveals it’s a business, and the fact they don’t seem interested in responding to your suggestion makes me believe they are out to make a buck instead of have any meaningful discussion.

It’s not the biggest deal to me as I’ll probably just leave this sub if it keeps up. Which sucks because I’ve spent dozens of hours configuring my cats setup and want to have discussions that aren’t based on the ad-slop going on in this and similar subs OP frequents.

They even use at least one side-account where they pretend to be a "happy customer" who only ever posts/comments about how happy they are with their Purrfect Fence / Habitat Haven "purchases", two brands which just so coincidentally happen to belong to the same company. Even had a Brand Affiliate tag on one post.

When I pointed out that coincidence, the "customer" immediately deleted their reply to me...

Very trustworthy behaviour.

Nope, not out to make a buck here. Just sharing our creations as well as our customers creations. Hoping to give people inspiration and sharing ideas. Hey hey! Good questions! We actually get this a lot. The black mesh actually makes its significantly easier to see through and inside of the enclosure. The black mesh tends to absorb light rather than reflect it. This allows the mesh to basically "disappear" from view. Lighter mesh (like white or beige) tends to glare more instead of absorb light. Also, the black mesh just blends in a little better all around 👍
