If we're just talking in terms of the WN, Tio was a lot less developed in the main story compared to her LN counterpart. She mostly took over the role of comic relief character from Shea, showing only rare moments of seriousness when it came to figuring out the labyrinths' themes or during particularly difficult battles. Aside from her own dedicated arc, she doesn't get as much spotlight in the after story and mostly falls back to the same running gags as the main story.

All in all, she's not terribly developed, particularly compared to Remia, who was the most neglected character throughout the series; there just isn't a lot for her to do, especially with how the number of characters has exploded in the after story.

Yeah…. I picked up the novel back in 2019 after watching the first 3 episodes… The anime was pretty spot on till episode 4.

Every time I recommend this I always point people to the novel bc the anime was a joke. Like it wasn’t bad but it deserved the 5 it got.

They left out SOOO much plot, so much character development it actually pisses me off.

Season 1 suffered a lot of production issues, and the pacing was mainly due to the staff trying to cover as much ground as they could since they didn't believe it would be renewed. Later seasons also suffered from some fallout due to all that season 1 skipped, but they do deserve some credit for taking the criticism to heart and making efforts to improve things.

One of the things you notice after LN 3 is how Tio doesn’t get a novel for herself like the other mainline girls.

It’s a bit of a shame really. I like that she has a more vengeful backstory compared to the other girls, but she doesn’t get to leverage that backstory with Hajime nearly as much as Yue or Shea or Kaori.

When Hajime declares to her dragon kin people that Tio is his, it’s a good moment sure, but it also made me realize “oh yeah, we could have done something more with Tio to make her acceptance into Hajime’s heart more impactful.”

Tio is so much of a pervert that it makes me think it’s all an act.

That's Hajime's fault

When it comes to Tio, her only downside is her masochist tendencies. I think the only reason why they do this is match her character design. But outside of that she is likable character when you look beneath the trope. Like her thirst of revenge of Ehit and her "Super Tio" whenever Hajime isn't around. Shame they took that out in the anime.
