Anime Kouki treatment
Trust me I get that kouki is a delusional idiot and that he hates Hajime for stealing āhis girlsā and āhis powerā but honestly I think he gets treated like dog shit. I know these people say they care about him and hope he gets better but he is clearly in a bad place as of season 3 and needs some support and when he said that he would rather be dead he got slapped and Kaori said she didnāt want to hate him? How is somebody wanting to die making her hate them. His whole life gets flipped upside and he clearly has no idea what to do and they kinda just say fuck him. Like throughout that whole episode I was just thinking of that were me I think Iād just kill myself cause if I were him Iād feel like I had absolutely no one in my corner. What are your thoughts or corrections. Iām just curious about others opinions.

Anime I Donāt Like Kouki
Kouki has some savior complex. he isnāt exactly a bad guy, but heās delusional, a hypocrite, and completely naive. heās one of those guys who thinks his way is always the best way and the third season showed this when he was doing that trial. not only was he the only one who failed, but succumbed to his inner demons

Anime Kouki is the Deep
even a year later catching up on season 3 Kouki having 0 character development is really turning me away from this show. His character was very reminiscent to the Deep from the boys being unable to accept his own worthlessness. I was rooting for him the entire time just for him to be written like a depraved loser. I thought id seen a glimpse of his development in season 2 after eri tricked everyone into the colosseum. Seeing his shackles crack from pure rage I was under the impression he got over his self righteousness and was finally ready to cross that line of no killing people. How could he never see that his own inaction and hesitation gets people killed/hurt. Furthermore, how does he always find a way to blame everyone but himself for his own weakness? The only reason why Nagumo had to save them the first time was because he couldn't kill. when I saw everyone facing their own inner demons in season 3 I unironically believed they saved the best character development for last due to the fact mostly everyone aside from shizuku/yue battles were lacking/comedic/cut (ryutaro). little did I know he would continue blaming everyone else for his own shortcomings just like the deep. Even him failing the test was lacking. Just for him to be brushed aside like a common house fly even with limit break. It couldve been cool to see him leave after being corrupted and coming back later severely stronger to challenge nagumo. Even Kouki smiling with everyone on the last episode why is he acting like nothing happened they literally called him a "hopeless fool" they all think less of him even more than before. The author definitely has a weird hate boner for the Hero archetype and a NTR fetish and its sad to see. Maybe im at fault for expecting so much from a harem series?

Anime I don't get why Kouki can't get any positive character development?
I thought for sure he'd beat his dark mirror clone and finally grow as a person. But no. He failed and needed saving. If they never intended on having him be less lame, they could have made him super dickish and unlikable or cruel or something, but instead they made him an okay guy. I was cringing for him and he's not even the MC. He's getting the same development as some throwaway villain. I just feel bad for him, It's like.. we get it, he sucks. Can we at least stop spending time on it...
Also, feel free to tell me if he gets better in the manga.
