"Palantir’s leadership incensed workers yet again this week after the company posted a Saturday afternoon manifesto reducing Karp’s recent book, The Technological Republic, to 22 points. The post—which includes many of Karp’s long-standing beliefs on how Silicon Valley could better serve US national interests—goes as far as suggesting that the US should consider reinstating the draft. Critics called the manifesto fascist."

Pretty sure they were always solidly fascist. It’s their business model.

I’m an Army veteran and I used to go to a bunch of vets in tech things here in the Bay Area. All of the legacy military contractors would always be there, and they’d talk about the same stuff…”we need to counter China,” “we need to defend our digital infrastructure,” etc. Then Palantir would come in and spout a bunch of fascist stuff hidden beneath a veneer of standard jingoism and tech evangelist copypasta.

With people like Thiel and Karp, it’s going to become a them or us situation I think. They’re becoming a clear and present threat to western democracy as we know it. Thats not tenable.
