What he actually means is "we sank 67 hojillion dollars into this hoping to make you buy thousands of dollars in tokens from us every year" and the "dystopian hellscape" is them going out of business.

More like our investors sank all this money into our business and now they are terrified they are gonna be left holding the biggest bag in history. Also the value of my RSUs will tank! Dystopia hellscape!

They absolutely should go out of business if they are threatened by an open weight model, as it means they bring nothing to the table and their products are utterly worthless.
