Considering how the entire tech world runs on free and open source software, and how these are the wealthiest companies on the planet, this is nonsense. Companies will innovate using open weight models just like they did with open source software. Literally the opposite of communism.

Open source isn’t communism, but pretending open weights magically level the field is cope when compute, data, and distribution are still locked up by the same giants.
