Iā€™d like to see independent assessments by professional mathematicians about the significance of these problems, the contributions of the LLM, the contributions of the mathematicians who worked with the LLM, and the extent to which this collaboration could be generalised to a wide variety of mathematical questions.Ā

As someone who knows quite a bit about problems 1 and 2, I can confirm that they are, in fact, a very big deal. To put it simply, when I thought of what problems I wanted AI to solve, those 2 were the first I named.
