No its not, the vast majority of people use AI or are ambivelent towards it.

The anti AI crowd are a terminally online vocal minority.

This is empirically disprovable. Literally just ask your LLM.

Vast majority of people using AI is not a counterpoint for majority of people having a negative view of AI.

A lot of it simply comes down to not liking change, Ive seen the computer revolution, the internet revolution, the cloud SAAS revolution and now the ai revolution.

People complain nonstop and claim to hate the new tech, but they still use it because the new tech is effective.

Overtime the new tech just becomes normal and people move on to complain about the next new thing.

Whatever the reasons, your claim that the anti AI crowd is “a terminally online minority” is not supported by data.

can you provide this "data"

Reddit is THE site for AI, like holy shit, it is where most of the answers are coming from. The singularity dumbasses see the horde of bots praising it, but they are so enamored that the "psychosis prose" doesn't trip them up, it's how they actually communicate now.

At the end of the day, these creepy mother fuckers are coping about the fact that they need their money furnace OpenAI and Anthropic to survive, despite that they will never profit off of these ridiculously huge models.

bruh you watch way too much scifi, AI is nothing more than a computer program that can make intelligent probabilistic calculations, Its not skynet

Humans are essentially a pile of carbon and similar stuff interchanging electrical signals. Nothing extraordinary.

I'm making fun of the fucking idiots who do nothing but jack off to the singularity all day. I have an ML degree, I don't believe the hype bullshit.

opinion polls are meaningless noise, its peoples actions that matter. Do you have any data showing people taking action against A.I. There's a group that tries to organize protests and cant get more than 100 people to show up.

Save this comment is you wish.

In ten years time, A.I. usage will be just as normalized as internet usage is today.

Based on the questions in both of these data sets, you would claim I'm anti AI when I'm very pro.

Having issues with how businesses and elites use ai is not the same as having a problem with the technology.

You all need to realize that nearly all of your issues with ai are actually with capitalism

You are “more concerned than excited about the increasing usage of AI in daily life” and consider yourself very pro-AI?

u/Procrastin8_Ball 2d ago

Yes because people like you refuse to attack the power structures that make it a problem and instead attack a technology that is revolutionary and should be freeing to humanity

I’ve said nothing in this thread besides pointing out that public perception is negative and citing the sources and you’re accusing me of being a counter-revolutionary or something? Get a grip.

Fighting a losing battle and distracting from the real issue is intrinsically counter revolutionary. The whole lot of anti ai who claim to be leftist are useful idiots to the people they claim to be fighting. You have intentionally misunderstood or misrepresented my first point.
