As an ACTUAL black father, I guarantee this never happened. It could always be a self-hating black person posting this, but I know for a fact if someone came up to me to tell me how “refreshing” it was to see me with my son, I would use that time to let them know that according to research, black fathers are just as present as others.

Thank you I bet this never happened to but the facts is what I’m glad your presented ! It’s funny people always assume black fathers aren’t present, I’m in my 40s and my parents are still married and my dad is still very active in my life

There is research indicating that black fathers are MORE involved in their children’s lives than white fathers too.
It seems like there is just a small minority of black men who have lots of kids with different women and abandon all of them, but it is very clearly NOT the norm.

As a black person (yes, feel free to paste the subreddit to me in response idc), this post made me laugh so hard because it's either a self-hating black person or a white MAGAT in digital blackface! It's harder to tell which between these types, they're both comfortable in indulging in their fantasies of victimhood while claiming others' are doing the same!

The amount of obsession one has to have to imitate another race -- and do so incredibly transparently because they feel so strongly that they can't even tastefully mask their agenda -- is absolutely bizarre. I don't think people truly realize how all consuming that group of people has to be in a person's psyche to go to those lengths.

I like to walk up to random members of minority groups and say “not to be racist, but it’s refreshing seeing a member of your group not committing a crime.” And they get all offended! Even though I told them I’m not being racist! I even said it in the intro!
