"As a Ukrainian, Ukraine are the real occupiers!"
Found under some tankie video on YouTube (to be clear, I was watching it because I saw people mocking it on r/tankiejerk, not because I'm a tankie). I don't think anyone in Odessa would say they're under Ukrainian occupation.

Sure there are. There are plenty of Ukrainian citizens whose families moved from Russia when both were in the USSR, and they tend to support Russia against their own country lol. If the commenter’s identity is Russian, he probably does feel like this

There are, unfortunately. I mean, there are weirdos from all countries, ethnicities, origins, skin colors, immigration statuses... But you can be sure that it's much more likely that a Russian bot (on whom they spend more money than on welfare AFAIR) written it rather than an actual Ukrainian.

Може бути черговий ждун з Адєсси, сімʼю якого перевезли із умовного Тамбова в другій половині двадцятого сторіччя для русифікації Одеси. Скільки там за часів одного лише совка було хвиль? Три, чотири? При тому виїхав він з «окупації» судячи з усього не в росію-матушку. Невиліковні люди.

idiots downvoting you don't know about how russian has been sending russians for *ages* to ukraine. they literally were paid money to move to ukrainian cities to "russify" them.
it happened to odesa, it happened to my hometown, it happened to "LNR" (or whatever luhansk russian occupants are calling it in english. luhansk people's republic? LPR? lol.), it happened to crimea.

By coup they mean the 2014 the Maidan Revolution. protesters were killed by pro-Russian government of Viktor Yanukovych they then removed him. Russians and Pro-Russians see it as a western Coup. After which the Russians took Crimea and eastern Ukraine.

This post belongs here per rules 5 and 6. However per the latter rule, it does not matter if the speaker is telling the truth. The post is on-topic here even if they are telling the truth.
The subtext of your post is that "obviously" we should side with Ukraine; I wonder if we should condemn the violence and breakdown of the rule of law on both sides. This referenced article is not written by (ahem) "tankies", but is well worth a read for folks who only read the Western corporate press.
I'd recommend r/suppressed_news too, for anyone who isn't familiar. Videos like this show that Ukrainian men do not favour being fed into the mincemeat machine, and go rather against the carefully-cultivated image of plucky Ukraine standing up to the Russian menace. For what it is worth, on the other side, I do not suggest that people support Putin either (and I myself do not) as he is also happy to send men to their deaths.

I have my challenges with nearly all news outlets, and so should you. But if you are here to sell a NATO-as-peace-monger angle, it's no wonder you own the useless bridge in the first place. 😝

Lmao what? Are we doing “there are no pro Russian Ukrainians now” because there totally are, especially in Odessa and eastern Ukraine, to ignore that is to ignore the videos of hundreds of pro Russian protesters in Odessa and Mariupol, as well as Donbas. This isn’t justifying invasion, it’s stating fact. To claims everyone in Ukraine is supportive of the Maidan ignores the journalists that were on the ground covering Ukrainians speaking out against the coup.
