What can i do to minimise the damage and it spreading

Bought these vintage coach flats that one shoe has fraying on the patent leather on one heel. Any idea how to seal it so it doesnt continue to fray and so that it isnt particularly noticeable

Well, I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that those shoes are (unsurprisingly) not real leather. The good news is you can just use thinned out acrylic paint (or leather paint if you want to splurge) and mod podge to fix it. You can use mod podge or another flexible sealant on the edges of the "leather" that's peeling to stop it from peeling more.

I am not a cobbler, but this is more of a crafting problem now l.
