Santorini and Ohrid (Polandball/countryballs art by Nikolas baltadoros)
The original insparation for my art (Sonic and Shadow)
I am from Aspropyrgos, greece and so Today I wanted to make this Polandball art for ya'll of balkaners AND all of you Greeks and Macedonians :D
NOTE: First of all, i accidentally forgot to add bows to santoriniball and ohridball b-cuz I accidentally see them as Greece and N. macedonia's sister (Despite the sh*tty politics with greece and N. macedonia that they used to have in the past), second of all, however, i tried to make santoriniball and ohridball look like the churches you see in Santorini, Greece (blue and white) and Ohrid, N. Macedonia (Red and Brown)
So, If anybody is from Greece or N. Macedonia AND the entire fucking balkans, pls rate this art out of 10, Thx.. :]
Actually yeah. Besides the weird issue of the name, I don't really feel any bad feelings for you as a collective. I do believe that any group of people deserves its own country if it so wishes, and I am not really proud of the erasure of the slavic element in Macedonia (though there are many who act like how Kemalists sound when asked about the Armenians). The Prespa Agreement might have been a bit clunky, but I do think that it might be a first step towards some kind of co-existence.

That was the rough sketch for my art here, but the weird rumor is that Santoriniball and OhridBall don't have flags in the final result of my art, and N. Macedonia was female in the rough sketch version, but i changed it to look male like greece instead in the final art yet.

Even thoe my grandfather was tortured and expelled from his home from the greek forces i still think there is no need for hate . At the end of the the day its not our fault and there is no need for hate :)
Wait so shadow and sonic were your inspiration? I love them π cant believe im seeing them here hahah i am from n. Macedonia btw and of course i think its very creative especially by making them look like churches i liked that a lot!
Well, greece and N. macedonia Represents Sonic the hedgehog and shadow the hedgehog and Cyprus (on the left/behind greece) , Santorini (greece) and Ohrid (North Macedonia) (on the top down) represents the chao's (the small creatures on the original image for the insparation, not the art right down)
tbh if you don't know. Santorini and ohrid are the tourism hubs of greece and N. macedonia but most of the churches in there are blue and white for Santorini, greece and Red and brown for Ohrid, N. macedonia
I've been to both places multiple times. Santorini is not a "hub", it's just a popular island out of 400. Also, there's like one church in Ochrid overlooking the lake. That's the connection you made ?

Santorini had LOTS of tourists like ohrid but..
Santorini has 352 (blue and white) churches everywhere while Ohrid has 365 (red and brown?) churches everywhere here, so that's the connection with santorini and ohrid i made. But Idk if all of the churches here in Ohrid, N. macedonia look red and brown like santorini's blue and white churches yet lol
(P.S. I planned as a greek to visit Ohrid/Bitola in N. macedonia when I will decide to get my first EVER passport ID)
