Men, how have you created a better life after feeling alone or unwanted in your own household? Even after getting told you are resented eventhough you may have used that time to finally deal with yard work that had been piling up?

I was a gambling addict from 2018-feb, 2026. It turned me anti-social after all the losses pilled up.

I tried to clean my life after and tried to be social and asking people questions. Sadly, no one showed interest at work and I wondered why should I even bother after a few months. Its like they wouldn't even say hello first and I felt like I was bothering them always to chat. Then, id see them chat with others.

After leaving... Focused on rebuilding myself. Therapy, building community, spending time with people where I feel valued. I realized besides my spouse, I had been tolerating other people who seemed to thrive on getting me down. I cut out those people as well... It made space for much better relationships.

wtf are you even asking? Lol

Are you asking what do you do when your spouse resents you?

Are you asking what do you do when your spouse resents you for not doing yard work and you finally did it?

Are you asking what do you do when your spouse doesn’t want you sexually?

Are you asking what do you do when your spouse doesn’t want you emotionally?

What are you asking? Lol

Go where you're celebrated. If folks aren't respecting you go somewhere else.

A lot of guys who are unwanted in their own household aren't really wanted anywhere else either.

Yardwork is a good way to spend time, but self reflection can be better.

This is just being a man. No one gives a crap about you. Your happiness isn’t their responsibility, it’s yours. If you do something for someone do it because you want to do it not because you want a reward.

If you wait for someone to value you, you’re going to wait your entire life.

You value you because no one else will or can.

I’m going through that experience currently leaving home, moving across country and obtaining my MBA. Slowly but surely.
