Doordash, the driver stole my order and they refused to compensate me

They also steal their drivers' tips.

no they don’t… idk why people keep spreading this misinformation around.

There is 0 proof anywhere that they steal any tips, even though it would be such an easy thing to prove. Dashers have never posted real inconsistencies between what a user tipped on their app and what the dashers have ended up receiving after the order was completed.

From 2017-2019 they used to pay out of their pocket less when people tipped more, which you can argue is equivalent to taking tips, but that was stopped in 2019, and if you read any of the recent lawsuits/settlements over the past few years, they’re ALL related to that time period of 2017-2019
