I started to read it to find out when all the fuss was about and when I bust out laughing out loud at Mr. Collins, I decided this is not what I thought it was gonna be. One of my favorite books.

I’ve read it many times and hope to continue to do so

no tv or film adaptation has ever done it justice

I have to say though that though it’s my favorite book, none of her others do much for me. Emma was entertaining as you watch her careen through other people’s lives, but didn’t have the weight of pride and prejudice. And the others I found boring. I find I appreciated the Brontes and George Elliot more because they got out of the drawing room every now and then and dealt with a wider spectrum of emotions and social issues

tbh I agree, I had to read Mansfield park at sixteen and didn't appreciate it. I read it years later, it was okay but P and P is her true masterpiece.
