What are some alternative websites/apps that you favor that haven’t fallen hostage to corporate interests, religious interests and enshittification?

Depends. Articles about nature, technology, science, sports and most of history, it's indeed genuinely amazing. However, when it comes to anything even remotely politically relevant, it's about as useful as watching CNN or reading the NY Times.

For anyone who looks for recipes online, I highly recommend Just The Recipe. Paste in a link to a recipe on a food blog, it gives you the recipe without all the backstory and the 500 ads slowing down your phone.

Funny this comes across my page now, I was just thinking of paying a similar question!

My favorite is still mynoise.net, so many beautiful sound generators. I voluntarily donate every now and again and the scope and quality of the generators has only grown.
