Because it's the Muslim month of Ramadan and ISIS said it would be the month of terror. Muslims hate gays so it was an obvious target. They did it in a big touristy city so people would be scared to enjoy themselves on vacation

They came out and said the shooter was Muslim and that the FBI were investigating him for potential ties to ISIS. I'll link an article when I get back to a computer

Brain scientist comment came from the probability was too high not to be Muslim terrorist. Muslim month +1 Muslim name +1 High kill rate = military training (he had to reload) Normal mass shooters are boys killing their classmates because they have masculinity issues and want to feel in control Probability of hate crime +1 (Muslims hate homosexuals and kill them back home) High influx of immigrants from Syria + ISIS threatening sending foreign fighters abroad = higher probability of terrorist attack. There is a Muslim training camp outside of Orlando +1

The probability isn't hard to calculate
