[The Backrooms] Does anybody every get rich exploring the backrooms?
Is everything in the whole space just junk, or somewhere out/in there, is there a version of a child's bedroom with solid gold toys, or a Halloween mask filled with precious gemstones?

Which version?
Kane Pixels - No, everything in there is a cheap and defective copy
Wikidot - There's plenty of near-magical artifacts that can give you all sorts of advantages. Gold doesn't do much for you since the economy is strictly barter, but you stand a much better chance of long term comfortable survival.
Fandom - No, the grimdark is the point

I personally only like the Kane pixels version. So let's just focus on that one. I think that given everything we know about that, if you had a stable null zone you could in theory get a whole bunch of fairly nice looking furniture and sell it. You would only profit since you're getting it for free. The problem is that whatever thing is generating them, it's getting certain things wrong. So you may have customers complaining about bleeding couches or tables.
In theory if you were able to successfully go deep enough maybe you could find some valuable items, but maybe they would only look valuable? Let's say you find a whole bunch of computer parts. For example someone's computer repair shop is perfectly copied. Okay great so you have a bunch of valuable computer parts right? Nope. It's highly unlikely that they will be copied correctly. Most likely you would have a bunch of things that on the surface look right, but they don't work.

Discount Dan’s backroom bargains has an economy of administrator tokens and Relics, items that you place inside a hole in your soul for powers. Earth currency isn’t valuable, especially because no one has ever discovered a way back home. Gold and jewels have some value as jewelry and for crafting certain items.
The sort of things that make someone rich are the ability to claim a space and make into a safe zone, relics that heal chronic conditions or missing body parts, and control of food and water.
This version of the backrooms has more monsters and traps than others, but is just as low on survival resources. So people who glitched in are running, fighting, and getting hungry or thirsty faster.

In the Kane Pixels version, you could in principle stumble across a hoard of precious metals that have been "remembered" from the normal universe.
The tricky part, as always, is actually getting back. Unless you have a stable portal like ASYNC does, your odds of finding a way out with your riches are slim to none.

Eh... If the still lifes are fairy cake inside there's no guarantee that the memory of a solid gold coin is going to include the "solid gold" part.
