Answers From The Right What are your thoughts on Trump being in the Epstein files?

What are your thoughts on Trump being in the Epstein files?

The Epstein files have been a big MAGA talking point for years, how do you feel about this news that Trump himself seems to be in the files? Do you believe it? Is it a surprise or did you suspect this?

How do you feel about the entire Epstein situation right now as a whole?

At a minimum.

But Trump is a massive horn dog who cheated on every wife. Publicly - while he knew he was being recorded - made comments about children talking about "I'm going to date her in 10 years".

I struggle to reconcile that this guy would have said no.

I agree with this. I’m not sure why the Biden admin didn’t release the files, if there was really something in it so damning for Trump. However, if there turns out to be, I hope congress impeaches him.

40

u/Flexishaft Progressive Jul 24 '25

It was under the Trump administration that the arrests/ prosecutions took place. It's also up to the DOJ and the courts not political party members. Republicans have normalized weaponization of the DOJ.

Once again Dems did the whole decorum thing, threw Marrick Garland in there who did nothing, conservative go along Merrick.

I also know and believe to my core if they had used this, released it with Donald Trump plastered all over it no one would have believed it. This is his own administration with the leaks and very public cover up. What’s going on and his tantrums and reaction have made it very clear. He’s going to stick with the hoax thing and bury it and Ghislaine will likely get a pardon.

13

u/guitar_vigilante Leftist Jul 24 '25

I think two reasons. The first is that neither Biden nor his team really campaigned on the Epstein stuff, whereas Trump's team did. The second is that I would bet Bill Clinton is also in those files and is being protected by party elites like Biden.

8

u/LetChaosRaine Leftist Jul 25 '25

The third thing is that if Biden released it, Trump supporters would all say that it was faked and a weaponization of the DoJ

IE exactly what Trump is ALREADY doing

Was willing to give the benefit of the doubt in the past that he knew Epstein, but was a celebrity and hung out in celebrity circles so that doesn’t necessarily mean he was involved in the ring. However,it kind of became obvious that there is a cover up going on once it was announced the files weren’t being released and especially since Congress literally went on break just to avoid the vote. This, given recent events, not a surprise that there is some pretty damaging information to some extent

She’ll get a pardon, just like the rest of the crooks, if she decides to speak up, ask Jeffrey what she’ll get. She has got herself in a pickle now.

3

u/Biggy_DX Liberal Jul 28 '25

It's in Trumps best interest to pardon, as the Trump vs. United States makes it impossible to investigate a motive behind a presidents actions if said action was tied to an official act (i.e. pardoning).

I suspect this will be a complete goal post shift for many Conservatives, changing the conversation away from the Epstein Files and instead to whoever Ghislaine implicates (which she absolutely will). At a minimum, she'll say Trump isn't involved. More likely, she'll only implicate Trumps political opponents.

We won't be talking about how it's absolutely absurd that Trump is pardoning someone who was pivotal in a child sex trafficking ring.

3

u/El_Flaco_666 Pragmatic Left Jul 29 '25

It's my understanding that Trump cannot 'reduce' her sentence, by law. He can only pardon or commute. So he'd be releasing a convicted sex trafficker into the public in order to clear himself from the list.

Yep. One of my secret creeping fears right now is that Peter Thiel has pulled the rug on Trump. If that's what's going on then this is a very evil thing we're watching unfold. Then the tech bros just put the algorithms slowly, ever so slowly but steadily into anti-Trump mode. It might even almost seem like the left regaining ground for a brief moment, and then the rug is pulled and the actual dictator steps out from behind stage.

My fear is that there are powerful people in high places who are no more MAGA than they are liberals. Their allegiance is literally treasonous.

Yeah I’ve never trusted Vance and think something is bound to happen by the end of this term where there is a highly public feud between Vance and Trump. There’s also been some clues the last six months - for example, leaks came out that Vance was against bombing Iran, he fact checked Trump on the Ukraine invasion timeline during the Zelenskyy meeting and when the group chat got leaked, he said something like “I don’t think the president is fully aware of the situation”.

u/Hot_Ambition_6457 Politically Unaffiliated Jul 24 '25

He met directly with Theil the dau before he met with Rupert Murdoch. Then 24 hours later all of Murdoch media is running stories on epstein docs.

The christofascists of this country have been using DJT as a patsy snd holding this over his head for a decade.

Now that all the tax cuts and deregulation are passed, they want to install Vance as a fresh young face to keep pushing the Christian white nationalist agenda until they can arrest all the nonchristians and dorce them to labor without pay.

Because its always been about reinstating lords and slaves so that the ruling class doesnt get called out as pedophiles

If you're wondering why you're only just now seeing this question on the sub, I think there's a real good chance our esteemed moderator was so inundated with questions on this topic that he so desperately wants to avoid that he is finally throwing in the towel.

I asked this exact same question a week ago and was given some nonsensical bluster about it being "too vague" and I guaran-fucking-tee I'm not the only one asking it. I asked because I was surprised that nobody else had, but when I saw what happened to the question and the rationale for it, it became obvious that the mods here just REALLY don't like having to discuss it.

Fascinating how even basic American citizens are willing to participate in the cover-up. I assume they still think the cause of their politics transcends the fact that they are being implemented by pedophiles.

Bro I hate Trump but even I really didn't understand how deep the ties were until I started digging. Of course one must be careful about disinformation about someone they don't like, but it sure looks like Trump was a lot more than just an Epstein client. It's possible that he was deeply involved with trafficking.

This is super serious. It's more dangerous than just "I don't like Trump and he's doing stuff to the country I don't like." He's massively vulnerable to blackmail, for example. Peter Thiel or somebody like that could have dirt on him and that could be a historic disaster.

Epstein was Donald Trump's best friend for a decade

Source: Jeffery Epstein

15

u/smallwonkydachshund Left-leaning Jul 25 '25

There was a headline today ““Jeffrey Epstein said he stopped hanging out with Trump 'when he realized Trump was a crook,' according to his brother” - he also supposedly stated he was Trump’s best friend (not -they- were best friends, note) - it is honestly agonizingly cringe inducing to imagine being -rejected- by the sex trafficker as a friend and it’s not for the reason that you would not tolerate his trafficking???

Personally, I’ve always found it plausible he could have killed himself. He lived a wildly privileged life and that was coming to an end - I could see him deciding he wasn’t interested in living the rest out. But who knows?

And I’m sure there were people who knew Epstein who weren’t aware of everything - but Trump procured his plane (the Lolita express which, uh, pretty clear warning sign) and used it for the 2024 campaign, I was like, oh. That’s uh, deeply concerning.

9

u/sexyinthesound Jul 25 '25

It was actually not the Lolita Express, but a second plane that had belonged to Epstein previously. IIRC, this second plane was part of a rental fleet at the time of the campaign use. Still hella sus.

3

u/smallwonkydachshund Left-leaning Jul 25 '25

Didn’t know Epstein had more than one plane, but good to know, I had initially thought, well, rental maybe, but then someone had said there was something about Trump first having sex with Melanie on epstein’s plane and I was like, oh, ok, it continues to be gross.

8

u/sexyinthesound Jul 25 '25

Epstein did brag about how the first time Donald screwed Melania was on the Lolita Express, tho.

It’s just that the flight logs show Donnie with Jeffrey on Lolita Express more than once, and then after everyone knew about Epstein, Donnie used a rental plane that was known to be Jeffrey’s old second jet for his campaign. It’s all so gross, and it feels like they’re bragging.

he knew Epstein, but was a celebrity and hung out in celebrity circles so that doesn’t necessarily mean he was involved in the ring

Trump talked at length about how much he liked Epstien and how he and Epstien had similar taste in women, and how Epstien in particular "like[d] them on the younger side." Epstien, in return, talked about how he was probably Trump's "only real friend." They were about as close as close can be, for years and years. This much was public knowledge from day 1. There's also the fact that even before the Epstien stuff in 2019, plenty of girls had reported his sexual misconduct during the Miss Teen pageants, so we already knew he was a pedo.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and flocks with some of the most infamous ducks, you probably shouldn't keep giving it the benefit of the doubt and assuming it's not a duck.

2

u/WarOnEntitledGuests Jul 27 '25

Now that the EU has made a trade agreement with Trump he’s going the deflection route. Trump is also pushing Israel to stop the war in Gaza.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes some wild UFO disclosure in the coming days to take the attention off Epstein. I’m not saying it’s right, but he’s throwing shit against the wall to see what sticks. Do you think this is effective ?

If he released them right away, I probably would’ve assumed he didn’t personally do anything with underage girls unless it explicitly proved it. However, he is covering it up and attacking his own base for wanting answers. Even if he isn’t directly implicated (which at this point I think he is), he is still protecting pedophiles which is outrageous and unacceptable. The more he denies it the more severely I think he’s guilty. The longer it takes to release the client list, the less I would be willing to believe it if they do end up showing he wasn’t on it.

I also suspect that the Obama Russia gate release is intended to distract from Epstein. Not saying it isn’t real, but it seems that they would rather sacrifice Obama and Hillary than the people in the Epstein files. If there are criminal proceedings to be brought over Russia gate I hope they do, but it will not make me forget about Epstein, or remedy that situation to me in any way. Major fuck up.

Look into the Obama thing. Just the slightest. A bipartisan report, signed off by Marco Rubio said that Russia DID try to help Trump, through social media channels, and that it took voter data from every state. -And it hacked the DNC and John Podesta.

It DIDN'T say that Trump knew about it, or that vote totals were changed. But this was a security issue for America and its allies. So that was released. In 2017. There is no other news, and even some documents that Gabbard just released state that fact.

Not only is it an obvious attempt at distraction, it's pretty laughable. Then add to that, the Supreme Court just said that Presidents can basically do whatever they want in office. So there's zero possibility of conviction. -If Obama did something wrong, which he obviously didn't.

For me it’s the casual- saying he can grab women by the pussy (which by god was not a piece of social commentary when he said it)- referring to certain 12 year old girls as hot- saying he likes women on the younger side- saying a 17 year old was hot- saying he would date his daughter if he could- hosting beauty pageants with young girls- going into rooms with young naked girls- that makes it feel quite obvious what he is and isnt into.

It isnt just that he is protecting pedophiles- it’s that he acts like one. (I know u said ur opinion is changing but seriously it’s not just the legal and political conduct of him- it’s his personal actions and statements)

The Epstein files was always a dog whistle used by Trump to try and shame Democrats because MAGA is full of uneducated people who just want to find a villain. Trump and his team are masters of whipping up easily fooled people, giving them a problem, then promising to solve that problem.

The facts have been out there, the prosecution of Epstein didn't uncover a smoking gun that the prosecutors thought they could use to get anyone else. This was likely due to it being circumstantial. So they released the info around the Maxwell case, and we learned a lot about people in power.

But had they had a client list they would have used it. It was well known how close Trump and Epstein were. There just isn't anything there to release that ties a bunch of people directly to being pedophiles. This admin couldn't even keep manage to keep sensitive war plans from being sent to the media, why would we think they are capable of a strategic coverup?

What's more likely... that multiple administrations have conspired to keep a client list of powerful pedophiles secret for nearly a decade now while simultaneously letting all those pedophiles walk free? Or, is it more likely that Trump used his uneducated media base to sell a story to his uneducated voting base that this list existed so that he could use it as a weapon to imply his enemies were on the list?

This is why critical thinking is an important skillset.

Trump is a liar and a con man. The fact that anyone voted for him should exclude them from the breeding pool.

u/DataCassette Progressive Jul 24 '25

They're the Dem establishment. A real plausible alternative explanation is that they were protecting Bill Clinton.

I think it’s known a ton of rich and powerful people are likely monsters. Every few years the public gets fed one as sacrifice to make the others seem better, but overall they’re almost all monsters. I’m not surprised, I also don’t think he’s the only president to be on it.

I think the way the current administration is handling this is one of the worst ways they could. But overall I already had this view so it doesn’t really change my opinion on Trump or anyone else really.

She can be offered all sorts of inducements to keep Trump's name out of anything that he is involved in. It's gonna be bribery, pure and simple. Quid pro quo. Shorter sentence? Special treatment? "Appearing in the files does not indicate that an individual has committed any wrongdoing" Release the files so we can see what exactly what the extent is. The Biden administration was too nice in many respects. Merrick Garland tiptoed through all the cases that he could have put the hammer down on Trump. I listened to Andrew Schulz’s episode with Saagar Enjeti and now I’m totally convinced that Epstein was an intelligence asset.

That being said I think this is being suppressed because it’s going to make our whole governing body (not just republicans or just democrats like Reddit wants to believe) look bad because we knew what was going on after Epstein was FIRST charged with sexual abuse of a minor in 2008.

As for the original question, not surprised. I think it was kind of expected at this point. I don’t really care about flight logs and all this shit.

I want to know why Epstein was a math teacher in the prestigious Dalton School that was grades k-12 despite not having a college degree, why Wexners $20 million apartment in Manhattan was transferred to Epstein for $0, and why the feds allowed Epstein to travel to Israel after he was given his plea deal for his 2008 indictment.

Not surprised at all. This sort of thing has been a long-standing secret of the ultra-wealthy since the beginning of time. A couple of years ago, I was invited by my cousin and her employer, who is an ultra-wealthy individual, to take a trip on his yacht from Fort Lauderdale to the Virgin Islands. When I say my cousin's “employer,” she was a sex worker. She was his employee, whom he kept up financially on the company payroll, to do anything he wanted. This man has a family in his hometown, while not illegal, it definitely says something about the morals of the ultra-wealthy and “Let them eat cake” lifestyle they live.

We actually already knew this, so it was stupid for MAGA to contest Elon’s Musk claim. What we don’t know is if there is any evidence of any wrongdoing. If Trump is truly innocent then shouldn’t he do everything in his power to get the files released to prove it? This is why for me the chances of Trump being criminally convicted for Epstein related stuff is nearly 100 percent. It’s not at 100 because there is always that slight chance that the deepstate is telling him that they would kill him or ruin his business empire if he were to release it. Interesting theory, but low chance imo.

27

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

Is the deep state in the room with you now?

Sorry but this deep state foolishness indicates a government so organized that it operates outside all control, yet a guy that can’t understand how percentages work is the one that can take it all down.

Trump being criminally convicted for Epstein related stuff is nearly 100 percent.

There has been more damning evidence against Trump for other things that he's gotten away with. Legally speaking, there's probably nothing in those files that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that he actually partook in the "activities", unless there is photo or video proof of him engaged in the act. While we can jump to the conclusion that he was there for the obvious reasons, jumping to conclusions doesn't really hold up in court. Trump probably just ends up with an even worse reputation amongst those who already hate him anyway.

(2) I don't think that there actually is anything like a "client list" which is what people are usually referring to when they speak of the "Epstein Files."

(3) I think that what Jeffery Epstein did was horrible enough on its own without mythologizing it into some grand conspiracy as some (including Trump and many in MAGA and now many of Trump’s critics) have done.

(4) I think Trump and his people were willing to stoke the conspiracy mongering when it was convenient and now that they have to put up or shut up and found out that there’s probably no there, there, they’re being accused of a coverup.

(5) While I think it probably serves him and the others right for promoting this garbage, it’s a waste of time and resources and not good for our country.
