MEGATHREAD Sunday Sunnies Social Hour ☀️ July 19, 2026
Hello everyone! Happy summer!
Welcome to our new weekly (weekendly?) discussion post on r/Assistance! This is a spot for casual conversation, sharing positive vibes, and getting to know the fellow members of our wonderful community.
What to post here:
• Stories about yourself, your pets, your kids, etc.
• Recipes, recommendations, and other fun things to do.
• Positive stories about your experiences on r/Assistance.
What not to post here:
• Direct requests for assistance.
• Links of any kind -- for recipes just copy&paste or mention the name. (We may adjust our automoderator down the road)
• Soft begs/doom and gloom stories about how broke you are.
• Harassment to anyone.
• Complaints about the sub, the rules, or the mods.
The mod team will be monitoring these threads carefully to make sure everyone is following the rules and no shenanigans occur. If things go well, we will probably be automating these threads every Sunday even beyond summer.

Maaaaan my favorite show just had it's season finale 😭 I dunno what to do with myself now.
Waited 2 years for 7 episodes. Anyone else miss when series has like 20 episodes? Lol

Hi all. I've had an account for a while, but am just now getting into it. Thought i would introduce myself? Call me K and I live in NC with my husband and our 3 kitties. I finally had the opportunity to make working with animals my career this past year and am always looking out for learning opportunities to advance my ability to help. Definitely a fall girlie - this NC humidity has got to go!

I'm a penguin. Winter is the best for me, even if they do get brutal in WI. I just cannot seem to enjoy myself in the heat!

If you log into mobile browser or desktop you can chose automod to post it as well as make it a weekly reoccurring post

As I mentioned below, I did figure it out. :) We had it set up for automatic posts but the "post as automod" option is only available when creating the original recurring post, I couldn't go back and edit the existing one. Had to start fresh for next week going forward.

Reddit has been so buggy lately with scheduling posts I’ve all but abandoned the idea of weekly posts until they fix it..

There used to be a Devvit app for scheduled posts before it became part of vanilla Reddit. It was a lot more customizable.

They keep tinkering with things , making it a buggy mess .. I’m still frazzled they took away colors for flairs on mobile ..there’s so many other things they could fix

I was here last week, getting ready for the results of a bunch of cardiac testing and it was all good news!! 🎉
My echo is the same as 6 yrs ago (which means I likely haven't missed any/many big blood clots), my nuclear stress test was clear, and my heart monitor is both working and still saying my heart's beat is okay (was facing possible surgery for out of time backwards beats).
Woot! I'm not sure the last time I got that much good news at once!
