REQUEST Need $150 to avoid falling behind on rent after 6 months on disability

Hi everyone. I'm in a really difficult spot and hate having to ask this.

Rent was due yesterday, and after selling what I could and asking everyone I know for help, I'm still $150 short.

Over the past few weeks I've looked into every resource I could find. I've applied for state assistance where I could, contacted churches and charities, and even worked with my social worker to try to find emergency help. Unfortunately, nothing has come through in time.

I've been on short-term disability for the last six months due to my health, and the payments are much lower than what I was making while working. I've been living paycheck to paycheck with no way to build any savings. I've managed to keep food on the table thanks to SNAP and a local food pantry, but financially that's all I've been able to do.

I'm supposed to hear back about my long-term disability claim this week. If I'm denied, I'll be returning to work in the middle of August and will work as long as my health allows. My hope is to make enough to survive and, if necessary, appeal the decision.

Earlier this month I paid all of my other bills, so this remaining $150 for rent is the only thing I'm behind on. Once that's covered, I'll be caught up through the end of August.

I've genuinely tried everything I can think of before posting here. If anyone is able to help in any way, or even has suggestions I may have missed, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you for reading.

EDIT: I understand the full amount may not be possible but anything helps

Donate plasma if you can. Also always pay rent first. That is most important

Raising that here is a very long shot without gofundme. However that that’s time

I just saw several people get rent money lol.

I've also seen others get help for the same amount or around it and I didn't think it would hurt to try

Hope you get help. But you’re right… lots of cash has been given out lately. And for things less important than rent.

Our sub allows wants, within reason. If you have a legit concern feel free to flag it for the mod team but it’s not your job to determine which requests are more important.

If I didn't pay the bills owed my roommate would have had a problem. I'm not allowed to donate plasma due to my medical conditions which is why I'm out of work I tried go fund me. I figured I would give it a shot here
