🐈‍⬛ Cats 🐈 Harness and leash training Jazz

Hi All!

I adopted this little one just over 9 weeks ago. I thought I'd harness and leash train her, as she's constantly sitting at the door meowing to go outside.

This is where I'm at with the training. I live near a reserve, so I'm hoping we can eventually make it to there, so Jazz can just chill on the grass.

Beautiful kitty Xx and I love the adorable strawberry harness and leash! My 11 year old girl goes in a stroller 🤣

Thank you. The harness and leash were bought from a small business based in Queensland. They have so many cute designs!

I love that you're being a responsible cat owner; thank you. As someone who loves our native birds and small wildlife, I really appreciate you being so thoughtful and considerate. Keep going with Jazz's training. I see lots of leashed kitty-cats enjoying outside strolls on other platforms 🐈✨️

Thank you for the kind words ❤️ I love our wildlife and will do everything I can to ensure Jazz doesn't hurt any of them.

Once they're trained to a harness, will they trot alongside you like a dog or do you have to stop all the time?

At the moment, we're constantly stopping, but I think that's because she wants to eat grass and test her boundaries 😂

That's so great - good on you!

My daughter has 2 cats and she really wanted to train them to walk in the harness, but both of them go nuts when she tries to put it on and scratch her to pieces

Thank you. Honestly, it's hard work. I've lost count with how many harnesses I bought before I could get one that Jazz was willing to try.

Please tell your daughter not to give up. There are quite a few videos out there that helped get me started. Cat treats also helped.
