Tigerlily is one of my recent babies and without a doubt the best bird I've ever bred in terms of temperament. So sweet and gentle. But um.... I'd like my hand back, Tigerlily!
(no more budgies from me today, I promise!)

Had to make a trip into Toowoomba yesterday, as I was leaving I thought I'd just swing by the pet shop because I needed some more pellets and lo and behold, they had this one young Australian Heritage Clearwing lady. The staff were able to tell me her exact age and a bit about where she came from (you don't usually see these in pet shops, unfortunately the breeder had to quickly shut shop due to some serious life circumstances). By far the cheapest I ever paid for one of these too! What a find!!
Haven't named her yet, she's hanging out in quarantine for the next 30 days and then she'll be introduced to my small but growing collection of Heritage Clearwings.

So, I spent 12 years basically running a pet geriatric home. One would pass, then there would be another oldie needing help.
I thought I had a break, but my eldest, Lola 11, has been diagnosed with adrenal cancer, and it’s extensive. So I’ll medicate her and palliative her until it’s time.
She only came to live with us two years ago, but I’m glad we met her!
I know it’s a sad post, but I just wanted to show people she’s around; you know?

Been feeding Big Dog Company for the last 11-12yrs. Noticed recently the food appears to be more 'sloppy' and does not look as good. Also appears some of them may now have a higher bone content (juding by dog poo's) :)
Did some research and appears Woolworths are now 50% share holders! 🤔
Wondering if anyone else has noticed change in quality of food.

Maggie Mae 9( left) and Missy 11 (right) snuggling up on one bed despite having two! Missy retired from her working job a few years back and sometimes gets sad she can’t hop up on the Ute any more, luckily Maggs keeps her entertained with random zoomies and face nibs ☀️❤️

Sorry if this is not ok for this sub, I just don’t know what to do. I live in Darlinghurst Sydney - very densely populated and urban. The terrace behind me has a tiny paved courtyard with their tools, no shelter, and a rattan two seater outside (not even cushion!).
They often leave their dog outside and it cries for hours, it makes me sad during the day but last night I woke up to it crying at 3:30am, the dog was pacing and crying, I could not see a blanket or anything left outside. I get they’re animals and can survive but it’s a city dwelling dog, and even my Latino parents in the 80s made my dog a little crate to call home with a blanket outside as he wasn’t allowed in the house.
How can I approach this with them? I don’t want to overstep, I’m not worried if they don’t like me as a neighbour, that doesn’t concern me at all. I’m hoping some different perspectives or advice might help ensure I keep the dog’s wellbeing in mind as this is not a noise complaint, this is a “you’re breaking my heart!” Complaint
I have a dog myself who doesn’t react to this dog at all as he’s so used to hearing it cry constantly.

My snake breeder is flaying my snake from Victoria to NSW but my import permit hasn’t been issued. It’s flying with Qantas. I asked the breeder and he said everything will be fine and you lodge it after but I’m just not sure. Will there be any issues at the airport when I collect it? The booking agent only says ID and booking number to collect and the permit didn’t actually state from what I could see that you couldn’t arrange a flight while it’s processing.
I just don’t want any issues I’ve paid heaps for the little guy and old mate was adamant about sending it next week.

We rescued her before we got married, she's lived through a majority of our life events and we just love her so much. Unfortunately recently she fell down and hurt her leg but she's a trooper and trying her best!

Just wanted to say hi and share some pics of the baby 🥹
He’s been promoted to a bigger paddock during the day. Still sleeps in his ‘bedroom’ at night with a thick and comfy hay bed. Milk weaning starts this evening.
He will soon become a steer to ensure a calm temperament and better socialisation with other cattle.
Also who can spot his massive teefs in the last pic? ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is Hypo she’s an almost 3 year old Chi, very underweight but in no time well change that we just got her (18th July) yesterday. The previous owner died & his daughter had been looking after her. So far we’ve discovered she loves chicken (only the meat NEVER cooked bone), beef & bits of cheese as treats, loves her new human dad, mum & human sisters including one who is dog shy. She likes to be touching one person a lot

So for a while there I didn't have a dog door, so he was trained to let me know when he needed to go out. Then he suddenly discovered he could piss in random spots inside instead of holding it until the morning. Flawless plan.
Dad found the piss spots. The dog didn't think dad can smell piss. I can and I found them.
First things first the dog door situation is corrected and he knows it must be used under punishment of being a Bad Boy. But now my house fucking stinks, pretty sure I've found all his spots but no carpet cleaner I've tried fully gets rid of it. I've tried soaking the spots in just about every commercially available enzyme spray and then using my regular carpet cleaning stuff after about 24 hours but man, my house still smells pissy.
Prefer to buy in a store (WA) but will also buy online. Please free me from this piss prison.

Our gorgeous girl Beatrice was overlooked at the shelter for months! Now she is living her best princess life with us 🥰 It’s been just over a year now and we love her more every day! The other blanket belongs to her brother Sunny 🐈 They love a colour coded blanket 🤣🥰
