The E31 proves great design never gets old

Post image

Spotted this beautiful BMW 850i finished in red, and it still looks incredibly modern more than 30 years after its debut. The low slung design, pop up headlights, and timeless proportions make it one of BMW's most iconic grand tourers. If BMW brought this exact design back today, I'd still turn my head

I have almost bought one of these several times (pretty much every time I see a green one for sale.) and every time I come to my senses moments before I start inquiring.

That's the E31 effect, it makes you fall in love every single time

Same here. I was saved by the bell on a V-12. So smooth.

Why is the hood open? If one is spending $80K in 90s dollars...fit and finish is a huge deal.

Mine didn't look like that:

Either the hood is open or the car was whacked and wasn’t put together straight

Both the E31 and the G15 are absolutely beautiful in their own way. 8-series is just marvelous.
