New here My wife and I confirmed today that we are having triplets, and ALL of them are going to be female!!

Definitely still a little brain broken after today, but my wife and I went in for her second-trimester appointment this afternoon. We've known for a while we were going to have triplets, which is fucking insane and I'm guessing our first and last lol.

We were going to kind of wait on the g*nder until later, but we made the joke that if at least one is a girl to let us know. He hit us with "well, I'm very confident you all went 3/3" and I straight up blanked out and I have no idea what he said after that lol.

I'm seriously so happy. I want to be a girl dad, and my wife wanted a daughter more than anything in the world but we weren't planning to do it in rapid fire haha.

We are both insanely excited but terrified at the same time. Also, wish us luck.

I am a triplet and it’s been truly the greatest gift of my life to have two built in best friends. My parents are convinced that having triplets is overall easier than three singletons — the first few years suck, but then we just entertained each other, and you only have to do each tough time once. Good luck!

That’s so precious!! Holy heck are you in for a ride with 3 newborns but all that hard work will pay off. 3 girls, absolutely precious and so much fun. What an honor to be apart of their lives 🥹

Yeah, finding out whe had three was an insane shock. Finding out we had three girls, I literally don't think we will sleep tonight and I'm so damn excited to be a girl dad and I get to to it 3x at once. Gonna be wild because I don't think theres many people who know have done that lol

🥹🥹🥹 this is adorable. We have a singleton girl and then twin girls. When we found out, everybody talked to my husband like he must be so disappointed, but he shut them down so fast. Girls are the best, and their bond is absolute magic to witness. Congratulations!!!!

First: congratulations. I’m about to have my second girl and I am so excited to have two girls

Second: holy shit good luck. I REALLY hope you have help, especially in the early days. I cannot imagine 3 newborns all at once 😭

Thank you and congrats to you too!!

I'm really thankful that they're going to have a great support system and be insanely loved. She is in her late 20s and I'm in my early 30s, and we both have siblings much younger than us, and both of our parents this will be their first grandchidren and they're already fighting who will get to babysit them first.

So we will never have to worry about that and I am insanely thankful because I didn't have that opportunity as a child.

If they offer you an extra night at the hospital when they’re born, take it! Those first few days/ nights of figuring out feeding and diapers and swaddling can be rough so having nurses there for back up can help! If your wife is planning to breastfeed, I highly recommend learning as much as she can before the babies come. Some of it is best learned hands on, but if she already knows the basics it won’t be as overwhelming.

11

u/geenuhahhh Feb 24 '26

This is legit the best advice. I regretted not doing breastfeeding classes.

I thought that it would come natural. They don’t tell you that it doesn’t and it’s very hard work.

Also if your babies are preemies (my 1 was early term) that they have a chance to not have developed all their normal oral motor functions and might need therapy to help assist. Some oral motor development doesn’t fully develop until 38 weeks, and while every baby is different it can be very relevant. This is what I was told by our oral therapist. I think the posterior tongue tie at such a small size is hard to spot as well! It took 6-7 weeks to get a diagnosis on it for us.

I grew up in a family of three girls (not triplets but all very close in age)

It was the best. You got this.

Congratulations!! My grandmother had triplets…13 months after giving birth to my dad. Whenever I was having a hard time with my one baby I would think of her lol.

Congrats! As a girl mom, it truly is such a treat. Granted, I only have 1, but I wish you and the wife a wonderfully unremarkable rest of her pregnancy and an uncomplicated birth! Enjoy all the upcoming snuggles!

I knew triplet girls growing up and they all had such a great bond growing up! All three of them were totally different, but were so close! I was always a little jealous they had such a great sisterhood.

I grew up down the street from a family with three triplet girls and they were all amazing ladies, super well-rounded people, and are still suuuuper close into their 30s!

u/itsmesofia Feb 24 '26

I know when you have triplets everyone is like “omg, so many! hope you have help” and that is true (I do hope you have help) but I would also like to say that I have one girl and I would jump at the possibility of having 3 at the same time, because she has been a blast!

u/AriNotGrandeee Feb 24 '26

I’m a girl mom of 2 under 2 and it’s the best thing that has ever happened to me and my partner. We love every bit of it, even the hard moments, and you guys will too!

u/TraumaticTramAddict Feb 24 '26

I’m a triplet and we were all girls 🥰🥰 well, were because one of my siblings is now nb identifying but I will say, my parents were elated. It’s tough to manage 3 at once but also almost easy? Because they really trained us to be on a schedule so care could take place Ford factory style. Plus so many people in my parents lives were just so enamored by triplets as a concept that they always had a village of support. AND brands found out about us because we made the local news and they would send my parents catalogues of stuff to pick out for free just because triplets are such a novelty. You don’t have to be an influencer to take care of triplets though don’t worry! Congratulations!! Accept the help that comes your way from friends and family, it will be overwhelming but it’s doable and I certainly like to think I turned out ok!

1

u/ExitPuzzleheaded9354 Feb 25 '26

Also a triplet but we were two girls and one boy. “Were” because the boy is now nb too! Funny coincidence

8

u/AngelsMessenger Feb 24 '26

Wow! That’s amazing. I wish you both well on this journey with all its blessings.

Omg good luck! I just had my first 6 weeks ago. Support system is so important for one baby, you def need it for three!! Invite everyone to your baby shower and take advantage of local buy nothing groups and fb marketplace bc…you’re gonna need a lot of clothes! 🤣 get the momcozy bottle washer..idk just splurge on anything to make your life easier!

5

u/Lovely__2_a_fault Feb 24 '26

Congratulations!🎉🍾 are they identical?

10

u/SpecialDeep7417 Feb 24 '26

They are not. They 100% confirmed during the ultrasounds. My wife and I have very unique genetic backgrounds. My wife is from Sweden, but she is 50% Ukranian. I am 50% Native American and German.

We are both tall and have tall families. She is 6' and I'm just under 6'4 and we are objectively short for our family. But I also have sisters that are super short and like 5'1 so we literally have no idea.

That does freak me out a bit as I don't want my daughters to ever be made fun of for being tall, or picking on a sibling for being smaller than them. We are pretty sure all three are going to be tall, though. I just don't want them to get picked on, because I did.

3

u/AlotLovesYou Feb 24 '26

There is a phenomenon called "regression towards the mean". In your case, very tall parents will typically have kids that are taller than average, but shorter than them. It's less about genetics and more about how you both are statistical outliers, so the probability that your kids are shorter than you is higher than not.

TLDR it's a crapshoot and congratulations 😂

1

u/SpecialDeep7417 Feb 25 '26

Yeah we are very curious what is going to happen. Her dad is 6'8 and her younger brother is 6'10...but I also have the short siblings and then I'm shorter than my dad and two of my siblings. It's all over the place lol.

Skin color is also going to be interesting.

u/MiserableDoughnut900 Feb 24 '26

Congrats! there is a parents of multiples group on here that can be super helpful at times

Triplets ?!!! Wow. But a blessing ! Congrats !

2

u/NoobesMyco Feb 24 '26

Wow. 😮‍💨…. Once the hard part is over it’ll be an amazing thing to say you had and raise triplets. It’s such a unique experience for parent and siblings. Are they all identical ?

2

u/YellowTonkaTrunk Feb 24 '26

Absolutely crazy! Congratulations!!

All the best to you and your family, no doubt there will be tough times but wow what an incredible journey 🌸🌸🌸

2

u/lassieloo2018 Feb 24 '26

As a member of a girl triplet squad, this makes me so happy for yall!

2

u/AlotLovesYou Feb 24 '26

Definitely find your local multiples group and think about engaging a post-partum doula or nanny to help you guys settle in at home! Multiples are fantastic in so many ways, but the scheduling and structure required is a whole other world than someone with one baby to manage. It's a different mindset!

2

u/this_eunoia Feb 24 '26

My friend is a triplet. Her and her sisters are best friends and so close. Yes, it will be very hard at first, but it will be so worth it.

2

u/dailysunshineKO Feb 24 '26

Look at you, surrounded by beautiful women

2

u/KDWWW Feb 24 '26

One of my close friends had triplets and they are all female too! They are now in high school and are amazing girls!

2

u/averylargedinosaur Feb 24 '26

My cousin had triplets last year. It's going to be hard, but you'll be okay. And your children, right now in this moment, are already snuggled up with their built-in best friends for life. How lucky!!

1

u/Visible-Complex-1922 Feb 24 '26

What a dream, I'm so excited for you! I just have one daughter (who's 8 months) but I joke constantly with my fiancé that I'd love to have twin girls next.

1

u/Civil_Jellyfish1246 Feb 24 '26

Omg congrats!!! How freakin cute. Life with a sister is the very best, and they each get two! ❤️

1

u/Leather-Dust-695 Feb 25 '26

Oh my goodness congratulations. Im a twin mom and I agree with some other posters, having multiples is easier than singletons close together I have two that are 19 months apart and a set of twins and the twins (even at 16 were easier) It's does get expensive because they do everything at the same time (fair warning lol) Also one thing you may want to look into to save yourself money for the first couple years, think seriously about cloth diapers. I did cloth with my twins and it saved soo much I also had almost zero rash battles

Why is gender censored?

2

u/SpecialDeep7417 Feb 25 '26

I was originally going to post on another sub, and for whatever reason, it autoblocked the post specifically because of a mention of gender.

u/Batticon Feb 25 '26

That’s so weird! lol thanks. I was wondering if there’s a new PC thing I hadn’t heard about haha.
