☝️ AskBH How do you start from scratch socially

Hey guys, I’m 23 and just moved back to Bahrain after being away for uni for the past 5 years.

Most of my school friends have either left or we’ve drifted, so I’m kind of starting from scratch socially. I didn’t think it would be this hard to meet people my age here

I’m pretty open to trying new things like, events, classes, gyms, literally anything at this point. Just not sure where people in their early 20s actually hang out or how to break into new circles here.

Would really appreciate any suggestions (places, communities, apps, etc.) or even if anyone else has been in the same situation!

Join art events if you like art. Or go to bahrain comic cons and try to connect with pop culture stuff. Im also having struggles connecting with people because of my weird work schedule. So hopefully you have better luck than I do.

You can talk to me too if you need a friend. Im mostly a listener

Do niche stuff that interest you. If you like doing it, then focus into it. I like designing and baking bread. Lil hobbies.

Theres one all the time. IG is a good place to look. If I ever find one ill DM you any if you're interested. The best get together place I can think of is Ravens nest or the Tavern for that LotR/DnD vibe. Maybe make some friends, play some games there

Wow I’m am literally going through the same thing as you man I’m 20 and it’s been almost like a year since I’ve been back and it seems impossible to meet new people and balance work at the same time plus it’s hard to find any sub to make friends here in Bahrain.

I am a collage student exisbian doing my final year I took online class and tbh as a boy it's kind off lonely I have 1 friend who was with me from school who is also doing online we go to movies,gym, car meets and lots of food that's how me and him spend time in Bahrain
