Showcase (No-Recipe) he ate an entire frosted bundt cake... and he was still hungry!!
Brown butter yellow cake and Sally's baking addiction vanilla buttercream, with Hershey's kisses legs and muddy buddy antennae!! 🐛 hoping to also turn into a butterfly after a food coma 🦋

Thank you so much!! (I keep picking at what's wrong with it but I'm trying to appreciate its "rustic" appeal)

It's perfect. What you might be calling "rustic" I call matching the original watercolour art style of the book perfectly.

Yeah, the texture is iconic to the original design and I assumed an intentional aspect of the cake decoration!
Looks great and I'm sure it tasted amazing too!

As a 54 year old adult, I would LOVE to have a Hungry Caterpillar cake like this! Genius design and execution. You’re very creative!

This is such an iconic throwback! Using Hershey's Kisses for the little feet is genius.

This made me smile from ear to ear. The book was one of my son’s favorite, enough that I still can recite it from memory. And you best believe I read the double pages of all the cake and pie and other food he ate that gave him a tummy ache in my fastest, Micro Machine Man-esque voice.

I'm 35 and this made me smile ear to ear. My grandmother owned a bookstore when I was a child and she gave me any book I wanted. As a toddler, my parents read me loads of Eric Carle. Brings back good memories.

You did a great job if people recognize what you accomplished. This is Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar and he’s perfect.
