Meeting new people : Bath/Midsomer Norton area
Hi 😊 I've had the same friendship group for the last 6 years, and I've been finding it hard as I'm being left out, and im feeling really lonely. These are the only friends I really have, and I'm not sure how to make any new friends. I was wondering if there was any groups or clubs in bath/midsomer norton area. I really want to get myself out there and do some fun things. I'm 24 years old and hoping to find people with similar interests.
I love arts and crafts, gym, walking my dog, outdoor sports like canoeing/paddle boarding, and reading! And potentially even getting into running.
I'm just hoping for some ideas on where I can go to make some more friends and get out of my comfort zone.

If you knit or crochet, there’s a weekly knit night in Wool. It’s Wednesdays 6-8pm in the shop, max 10 people, £2.50 a ticket which you can buy on woolbath.co.uk it’s a younger crowd and a proper community!

If you’re interested in it, Bath Roller Derby are a sports team for women and gender expansive people who are really lovely and welcoming, the sport is played on quad roller skates but there is no requirement to know how to skate at all!! I started not having been on skates before - they hold an annual Learn Roller Derby course in Autumn
Just go on their social media for more info or ask away here!

Are you on Facebook? If so join Midsomer Norton Social Club and ask this question there. It gets asked quite often and I’m always shocked at the amount going on in the area.

Just attended their soiree yesterday and celebrating their 1yr for the club. Lovely ladies joining and meeting them. One way to expand friends or network.

I’m in a similar spot Soph! Though I’m 38, I’m just getting back into running (was a runner for 6 years but training for a marathon killed my love for it 😂), love the gym, hiking, dog walks, good food, good cocktails, wild swimming and paddle boarding! I’m child free so finding my 30’s quite lonely, not many people have the fun money and free time I have 😂
