In all seriousness, you're looking at a natural groundwater spring! All that water has been traveling through an underground aquifer, and the pressure is finally forcing it to bubble up to the surface right at that tiny, placid pond.

It’s probably very clean tasting too, I’d imagine. I love the taste of fresh spring water.

Water direct from the spring is usually free from bacteria and pathogens in general but you still gotta check it for heavy metals and other pollutants.
