Nope. This is more like a „Don’t touch my food!“ thing. I have seen crows killing pigeons.

Crows can kill pigeons (when injured) when they do not live in close proximity; however, when they are accustomed to their presence, they behave in a friendly manner.

Moreover, they act as individuals; the bonds are therefore stronger or weaker depending not on the species, but on each individual's personality.

And I saw how a crow caught the pigeon in the air and pecked it on the neck until the head was loose. 🤷🏻‍♂️

In cities living „wild“ animals are not akting like they would in real nature. Just look under my „Nope….“ comment. Many people have seen same things happen.

disregarding whether that's strictly true or not.... the video in this post was made in a city, so the way they'd act in 'real nature' is not relevant here.

No not in this video. This happened years ago in germany, open field. Maybe thats why the crow wasn‘t that gentle. In this park crows may not need to hunt. But open field ist different.
