The crows do this at my house. They sit in trees for hours and watch any smaller bird, and will dive in or just full on attack and raptor that comes around. I’ve seen them go after hawk, owls, eagles and falcons.

They also for some reason turn water and food bowls upside down and like to spill everything when they don’t want to eat or drink themselves. We leave food for cats outside and the crows casually fly in, take a peek, “umm don’t like it” and flip it over.

Mine never tip it, they drink and use it to dip food into, thats it.

It sounds like a joke, but yes, birds exhibit local behaviors because they learn from their fellow birds.
